Our Story
Before Pretend… there was a great big garden. The garden was laden with lots of plants, animals and life of all kinds! This is not about that garden at all.
Before we began our game of Pretend, we were not even thinking about that garden. We were thinking about how there is SO MUCH Space in the ABDL business world to innovate and grow, and after a very specific ride on a Magic Monorail, we decided to try our paws at innovating on a new adventure! Thus, KidPass was born! (Wait, KidPass?! WHAT?! Read on….)
Lets just say our first brand idea wasn't without its leaks!
What's this KidPass stuff? Our first company name was KidPass in 2018, as the idea was that the products would provide you your pass to be a kid again.
The brand read "KidPass - Permission to Be Yourself." We thought the idea was strong, but realized we could up the narrative and achieve so much more!
Brainstorming further we realized there was no fight needed or permission, as we can be ourselves right now, as we are, so a change of name was due after a change of pants.
PretendAgain - "Better This Time"
Once we decided to update our name. In about 6 hours and a list of 300 name ideas, we landed on what we all wish we had a little more of in our lives: Pretend.
Remember the garden from earlier? Cool. Forget about it, because we're talking about a new place: Dreamworld. What's Dreamworld? It's the magical home of our stories and ideas, stretching as far as our mind could imagine. Even with just a little of Dreamworld made through characters and clothing ideas, we immediately came to realize everyone can pretend in a better way as an adult - pretending TODAY is our second chance!

PretendAgain isn't a hobby project for our team but a journey of joy and community building. It's our goal to create magical experiences that last forever from one generation to the next. 💜✨
We want everyone to live life as their authentic selves, no matter if they are years into their own game of Pretend or just starting out in the ABDL space.
Business is an infinite game, which is why we are building the PretendAgain company with a foundation that will always put the community first, including doing the right thing even when it costs us more money or may be difficult. ✅
Our company DNA is to innovate endlessly and invest our first and second dollar back into the company and our artists. We do this because we love this work more than anything else. (No really, we LOVE creating new characters and ideas and bringing them to life!)
The Power of Artist Signatures
Every artist brings magic into existence, but many customers often never learn who did the work. Most companies strip the artist's value from the work when the contract is signed. Not at PretendAgain!
PretendAgain strongly believes the magic of creative work starts with our talented artist community and concludes with the designer's unique signature.
As you explore Dreamworld on our website, you'll find that product pages and the products themselves have the artist's signature designed into them.
Signatures are often hidden (1) in the art or included (2) on the packaging in addition to listed on the (3) product page descriptions.

Lyrick founded PretendAgain in 2020, driven by a passion for product design and creative innovation. A lifelong enthusiast of ABDL, Lyrick brings a unique blend of expertise in business, IT security, UX/UI, and creative writing to the table, ensuring each product is thoughtfully crafted with both functionality and imagination in mind.
🎨 Graphics Designer & Illustrator - LilChu
Chu’s art style is often recognized in ABDL comics and his commission work over the past decade. Chu holds a degree in Advertising with a minor in Graphic Design, bringing a distinctive artistic touch to the PretendAgain team. Known for his signature line style and exceptional talent for illustrating human characters, Chu’s creativity and innovative ideas elevate every project. Chu enjoys connecting with the community and also reading the thoughtful comments customers leave with their orders.
🎨 Product Designer & Illustrator - OzzyDerg
Ozzy’s artistry takes center stage with his premier diaper design, TryAgains—a hallmark of the PretendAgain brand and a staple in many ABDL wardrobes. His iconic soft style shines across a variety of products, including T-shirts, mugs, hats, hoodies, and playful items featuring the beloved TryAgains characters. Fun Fact: Inspired by his treasured plush bear, Osito, which still resides on his bed at home, Ozzy brought this heartfelt character to life, making it an integral part of the TryAgains story.
🎨 Concept Artist & Designer - Spacefluuuf
Part time lap cat and fulltime artist, Cel (a.k.a Spacefluuuf) is known for their vibrant colors, chonky lines and attention to detail. A middle at heart, Cel wears their love for Megaman, Maplestory and Anime on their sleeve, pulling upon the hundreds of hours spent binging to make simultaneously cool and cute designs that glow with a kidcore joy and comfort. Cel aspires to draw unnecessary amounts of stars and sparkles on every cool project they can get their hands on.
🎨 Brand & Graphics Artist - Darkuro
Darkuro is the creative force behind the eye-catching ads, icons, and visuals across PretendAgain’s website, social media, and products. With a degree in Graphic Design and a passion for street art, Darkuro brings a unique flair to every project, including highly detailed diaper design conversion to vector. A dedicated DL at heart, Darkuro has an encyclopedic knowledge of diapers released over the past 30 years, making him an invaluable resource and contributor to PretendAgain.
